March 20, 1937 Jerry Reed is born in Atlanta. The guitarist/songwriter/actor won a Grammy for "When You're Hot, You're Hot" and a million-seller with "Amos Moses." Jerry wrote "Guitar Man" for Elvis Presley, and played guitar on the recording. He appeared in more than a dozen films, co-starring with Burt Reynolds in "Gator", "W.W. and the Dixie Dancekings" and all three of the Smokey and the Bandit films.
