June 16, 2018. A routine flight turned into a frightening scene at Galt Field Airport in Greenwood, Illinois, when an experimental twin-engine Aircam crashed just seconds after takeoff. The aircraft lifted off at about 50 knots but never climbed higher than 75 feet before it suddenly rolled to the right, stalled, and slammed into the ground. It hit wing-first, cartwheeled across the field, and came to rest near the airport boundary. Both the pilot and passenger escaped with only minor injuries.
