On September 17, The 'Alalā Project held a conservation talk on the ʻalalā recovery efforts taking place on the slopes of Haleakalā. Taking place at at Keālia Pond National Wildlife Refuge on Maui, the presentors spoke about corvid history in the Hawaiian Islands, the challenges ‘alalā faced in the wild, work the Project has done to prevent total extinction, and recent efforts to reintroduce ʻalalā back into the Hawaiian forest where they belong.
