A platypus is a unique, egg-laying mammal found in Australia. It has a duck-like bill, webbed feet, and a beaver-like tail. Despite looking a bit unusual, it’s a skilled swimmer and hunts underwater using electroreception. Males also have venomous spurs on their hind legs, which can deliver a painful sting. When they sleep, platypuses sometimes make soft, snore-like sounds. These little snores are caused by their breathing as they rest, and they add to their already adorable charm! Video credit
