Lifting and dividing perennial plants is an easy way to get new plants for free, and it’s a great way to rejuvenate tired perennials that are no longer performing as well as they used to. Plants that flower in spring, such as pulmonaria or lungwort, can be divided in autumn, to give them time to recover before they need to start flowering again. If you still have some unpotted spring flowering bulbs, don't waste them. Take a tray, fill it with some compost and place your bulbs on the surface of the compost. This way your bulbs will get some extra moisture, nutrience and a dose of daylight will give them extra boost. There is no need for extra water because there is plenty of moisture in the air. Your bulbs will very quickly start forming strong healthy roots and you can plant them in pots when you have more time in new year. Spring flow
