On Thursday at 9:20 p.m. EST a winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until Friday at 7 p.m. EST for Montmorency County.

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for northwest Iowa. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for western Siouxland.
