President Donald Trump has decided to pull the United States out of the "woke" and "divisive" U.N. culture and education agency UNESCO, the White House said on Tuesday, repeating a move he took in his first term that was reversed by Joe Biden.

The United States has announced it will withdraw from UNESCO due to perceived anti-Israel bias. A State Department spokesperson cited the agency’s decision to admit Palestine as a member state as a key issue.

The White House accused UNESCO of supporting “woke, divisive cultural and social causes.” Trump also withdrew the U.S. from the U.N. agency in his first term.
