Fresh off his Top Chef win, Epps is ready to cook around the country before settling into his new restaurant, Buboy

The season finale of "Top Chef" will air Thursday night with Houston chef Tristen Epps in the running to win the quarter-million grand prize.

Top Chef has awarded its largest grand prize in the nearly 20-year history of the Bravo reality show. Houston-based contestant Tristen Epps-Long earned the title of Top Chef during Thursday’s finale episode of the culinary competition series, winning $250,000 among other prizes.

Tears were flowing as Tristen Epps-Long was named the Season 22 winner of Bravo’s Top Chef during the emotional June 12 finale. The fan-favorite impressed judges Kristen Kish, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and guest three-Michelin-starred chef Clare Smyth.
