The National Weather Service is working to hire back hundreds of positions laid off or otherwise cut by the Trump administration, but it’s progressing at a snail’s pace, forcing many offices to continue to cope with vacancies that could affect winter forecasts.
A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 11:10 p.m. in effect until Sunday at 7 a.m. for Carbon and Monroe counties.
An updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 2:14 p.m. valid for Sunday between 1 a.m. and 1 p.m. for Cape May County.
