Read's lawyer filed a motion to order the return of all of her personal property, including her car and cell phone.

A lawyer for Read, Steven C. Boozang, said in the filing that the defense tried to “negotiate the return of the listed property with ADA Adam Lally in late June” following the verdict, but had not heard back. State Police has possession of the property, he said.

More than a month after Karen Read was acquitted of the death of her boyfriend, she is now asking a judge to return some of the evidence.
