Gabriel Martinelli is set to make his comeback from injury at Arsenal ahead of Bukayo Saka as new return dates emerged.

Arsenal suffered yet another hamstring injury when Gabriel Martinelli was injured against Newcastle on February 5. He departed during the first half of action at St James' Park and, like Saka, Arsenal are hopeful he returns following the next international break in late March.

Havertz tore his hamstring when blocking a shot in training in Dubai and Arsenal have confirmed he will not return until next season. The striker has confirmed he underwent a successful operation on Saturday, as he targets a return to fitness in the summer.

Arsenal’s dynamic winger, Bukayo Saka, has been sidelined since December following a hamstring tear. Initially expected to be out until March, the club recently sparked hope among fans with images of Saka working out in a gym in Dubai.

Arsenal are hoping to have both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli back from injury after the next international break.

Saka has stepped up his recovery in recent days, but a report from The Sun claims he’s ‘set to miss a further eight weeks’ in a ‘devastating blow’ for Arsenal, who have also learned the ‘extent’ of Martinelli’s ‘injury’.
