The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Merseyside and the western UK. The warning, which lasts until 6pm tonight, is for wind. In Liverpool, gusts are expected to reach 21mph. The public should expect some delays to road, rail, air and ferry; some short-term loss of power and other services; and longer journeys.

Heavy rain is likely to cause some flooding and disruption across parts of Wales, according to the Met Office. It has issued an amber weather warning across mid and south east Wales on Sunday from 15:00 GMT until 06:00 on Monday.

We’ve had some pretty atrocious weather recently – but more snow? And in March? Say it ain’t so. Pretty much the whole of the UK was forecast to be under some kind of weather warning this weekend, with the Met Office issuing yellow alerts for heavy rain and storm winds.

The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for heavy rain and deep floodwater that could cause “danger to life”. The warning covers south and mid-Wales from Newport to Carmarthen and north to Brecon between 3pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday.
