Bowman wrecked out in a multi-car pileup on Lap 27, one which claimed the cars of Bubba Wallace, Austin Cindric and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., among others. He struck the outside wall near the frontstretch tri-oval, came to a halt along the backstretch, and was towed into the garage area. The damage proved to great to repair, and Bowman finished 36th.
