In the middle of their four-game series finale Thursday afternoon, the Yankees and Rays finalized a deal to send Tampa Bay utility man Jose Caballero to New York. The Rays will receive outfielder Everson Pereira and a player to be named later from the Yankees.

Per ESPN's Jeff Passan, the Yankees landed San Francisco Giants reliever Camilo Doval. New York also traded for shortstop Jose Caballero of the Tampa Bay Rays, according to Passan. Jack Curry of YES Network reported the return for Doval:

Jose Caballero had a short walk to go from his old team to his new one after the Rays dealt the infielder to the Yankees mid-game as the two clubs played one another on Thursday afternoon. But the walk out of the dugout took a bit of time as the YES Network cameras caught him saying his goodbyes to his old Tampa Bay teammates.
