Tampa Bays Rays young slugger Junior Caminero is the latest to confirm his participation in the upcoming 2025 Home Run Derby. MLB announced the news on Wednesday, which means just two spots remain in the eight-player Derby field.
With a handful of injured stars unable to participate in the All-Star Game, MLB released the injury replacements for those players.
It’s Suarez’s second consecutive All-Star selection and the first for Abbott and Caminero.
Like teammates Jonathan Aranda, Yandy Diaz, Brandon Lowe, Ryan Pepiot and Drew Rasmussen, Caminero is hoping to either be elected in the players vote or appointed to the team by Major League Baseball officials filling out the 32-man rosters. Players also can be added as substitutes for injured All-Stars right up to the July 15 game in Atlanta.
Rays third baseman Junior Caminero is headed to the All-Star Game, replacing Alex Bregman on the American League team.
