All three of the C8 Corvette models that GM used in its recent Nürburgring lap record attempt were listed as prototype/pre-production models. Here's why.

The ZR1X, by comparison, has a 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft. Coupled with an electric drive unit, an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, and AWD, it produces 1,250 hp combined.

The C8 Corvette is awesome on all counts. Now that we've seen it as the Batmobile, it really is the perfect car.
