On Thursday, Macy’s Inc. confirmed it’d be shuttering 66 locations across the U.S., including nine in New York State and five in NYC.

Macy's will have five stores remaining inside the city limits following the closures, with two in the Bronx, one in Brooklyn, one on Staten Island and its main Manhattan flagship.

The department store has reportedly been struggling with declining sales, which has been affecting the wider sector for years.
