With college basketball now officially over, all hoops eyes are set on the 2025 NBA playoffs. Teams have just a few contests left to secure their final positioning, especially in the Western Conference where the Nos. 2 and 8 seeds are separated by just two games.

Even though NBA teams have between five and seven games left in the season, there could still be plenty of movement in the standings.

To give an idea, here's a breakdown of who can finish where when the regular season ends Sunday: —East No. 1 and East No. 2: Cleveland (likely the No. 1) or Boston. The Cavs are four games up with four to play.

While the bubble is a thing of the past, the league has kept one holdover from 2020: the play-in tournament. The NBA playoffs remain at 16 teams, but the final two seeds of each conference are determined by a pair of four-team brackets.

The NBA unveiled the clinching scenarios for Wednesday's schedule, including the Los Angeles Lakers being able to secure a playoff berth with a victory over the Dallas Mavericks. The Lakers could also clinch the Pacific Division title with a win and losses by the Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors.
