So it should come as no surprise that with the Broncos’ success, other teams have taken notice. Saturday afternoon, the New York Jets agreed in principle to make Darren Mougey their new general manager, a source confirmed to The Post.
The hiring cycle has been a long process for the Jets after firing head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas during the season. New York interviewed over 30 candidates in total between their two big openings before finally settling on Mougey and Aaron Glenn.

The New York Jets have a new general manager to go with their new head coach. The Jets are hiring Denver Broncos assistant GM Darren Mougey as their new general manager, according to multiple reports. Mougey has scouted and worked on the front office for Denver since 2012.
Darren Mougey replaces Joe Douglas, who was fired as GM late in the 2024 season after failing to make the playoffs over a six-year tenure.
