The disruptions continued for a fourth consecutive day with over 500 IndiGo flight cancellations on Friday alone. Arrivals and departures from the Delhi airport were hit the most with all IndiGo flights cancelled till midnight.
Weather authorities say Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Tenkasi, Ramanathapuram, Pudukkottai, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai and Cuddalore districts may record heavy rain at isolated spots.
Putin's visit also carries geopolitical weight, coming just months after the United States imposed 50% tariffs on Indian imports.
