UPDATED: May 12, 2024 at 4:19 PM EDT Nemo, a 24-year-old artist from Switzerland, won Eurovision on Saturday night, becoming the first nonbinary winner in the song contest’s nearly 70-year history.
Nemo became the first non-binary winner of Eurovision in the contest's history on Saturday, May 11 when they were crowned by co-hosts Malin Akerman and Petra Mede.
They're also the first contestant to win under the Swiss flag since pop icon Céline Dion competed for the country in 1988, per The New York Times.
