Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro called U.S. strikes an "attack against Venezuela's sovereignty" before as President Donald Trump announced his capture.
The U.S. "successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country," Trump said in a post on Truth Social. "This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement."
Despite President Donald Trump saying the U.S. would run Venezuela after the nation captured Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro, Secretary of State Marco Rubio walked back the statement Sunday.
