Award-winning British actor Joan Plowright, who with her late husband Laurence Olivier did much to revitalize the U.K.'s theatrical scene in the decades after World War II, has died. She was 95.

She and her future husband starred together in 1957′s play “The Entertainer,” where she played Olivier’s daughter. They were separated in age by 22 years, according to the BBC.

At the time that the Olivier’s purchased the home, they were newly married after having met during rehearsals for John Osborne’s The Entertainer at The Royal Court Theatre in the West End.
