Animal Crossing is headed to Switch 2 in the form of a new, upgraded version of New Horizons. Here's everything you can only get on Switch 2.

In its latest financial results, published this morning, Nintendo raised its hardware forecast for the year in response to the Switch 2's spectacular performance. It now expects to shift 19 million units of its new console before the end of March 2026.

Now that the new financial results are out for Nintendo, we can see that the Switch 2 has done well in hardware sales, but the software sales paint a complex picture.

The Switch 2 upgrade for New Horizons gives the game a big visual makeover, improving resolution and even offering 4K resolution when the game is in TV mode. One thing that the presentation didn't mention was fixing pop-in, though players have already noticed some improvement here, even pre-update, when running the game on a Switch 2.
