Powerball tickets cost $2 and are sold in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players pick six numbers, five white balls from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball from 1 to 26 or choose a “Quick Pick” for randomly generated numbers. A $1 “Power Play” add-on can boost non-jackpot prizes.
