NASA's Jared Isaacman slammed Boeing for failures with its Starliner spacecraft, which was deemed unsafe to return its crew of two astronauts from the International Space Station
A review of the troubled Starliner mission in 2024 has classified the spacecraft’s first-ever crewed flight as a “Type A mishap,” a category encompassing the most severe unplanned events that pose a threat to life.
NASA will again attempt to fuel up its moon rocket and do a launch-day walkthrough ahead of its Artemis II mission to send four astronauts around the moon.
If the mission goes well, Artemis II will also set the stage for Artemis III. Now delayed from 2027 until 2028 at the earliest due to this and other delays, this mission’s aim will be to actually land astronauts at the Lunar South Pole.
