LSU Lures Lane Kiffin
Digest more
Lane Kiffin left his one-loss Ole Miss team to become the coach at LSU on Sunday, taking over a program that has won national titles under three of its previous four coaches while saying he would have stayed to coach the Rebels in the postseason had he been allowed to.
Sometimes, the thread titles say enough on their own. Such is the case on the Ole Miss boards, coping as they are with the ridiculous Lane Kiffin saga — he goes all in on Florida/LSU courtships, he hems, he haws, he needs more time, he has excuses made for him and responsibility taken off his shoulders by his friends at ESPN.
Kiffin wanted to stick around to lead Ole Miss in the College Football Playoff, even though he had accepted a job with LSU.
Last week Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter said an announcement on Lane Kiffin’s future as head coach of the Rebels was expected on Saturday, the day after the Egg Bowl.
