The Daytona 'No Kings' protest is expected to draw some 3,000 protesters at the same time 100,000 Biketoberfest visitors also are in town.
Of the three locations being considered for the dog beach in Daytona Beach, the first option, which spans about 1.7 miles from Williams Boulevard to the Seabreeze Approach, would be the longest of the three. The other two locations being considered would start from Hartford and Zelda boulevards to the Seabreeze Approach.

Three local residents and a community organization called VOTE! have filed the new federal lawsuit challenging the redistricting plan just adopted by city commissioners, arguing that the new map unlawfully ignores communities of interest and neighborhood needs in favor of impermissible racial goals.
