CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — WCIA is proud to announce that Peter McFarland, a retired employee of ours, was awarded the Dave Benton Crime Fighter of the Year Award by Champaign County Crime Stoppers.

Champaign County Crime Stoppers is looking to honor someone who is doing their part to make it a better and safer community -- and it's named after WCIA's dear friend and former anchor, Dave Benton.
