A 14-year-old is dead and 8 others were injured in a pair of shootings in downtown Chicago on Friday night, police said.

Chicago police said seven teens ranging in age from 13 to 17 were shot in the Loop Friday night, just steps from ABC7's studios. A separate shooting nearby left a 14-year-old dead, Mayor Johnson said.

No one was in custody Sunday morning in connection with either of the shootings that transpired Friday night in the Loop.
