Violent weekend reignites debate over Chicago crime
NewsNation has been taking a hard look at crime statistics since Trump began focusing on Chicago. This weekend was particularly violent, with more than 17 shootings from Friday through Sunday, resulting in 28 victims.
Chicago police said seven teens ranging in age from 13 to 17 were shot in the Loop Friday night, just steps from ABC7's studios. A separate shooting nearby left a 14-year-old dead, Mayor Johnson said.
