CINCINNATI — The NFL informed teams that the salary cap is going to be over $300 million for the first time in league history. The league informed all 32 teams that the cap will be somewhere between $301.2 and $305.7 million according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Trades and the Cincinnati Bengals don’t go together during the first round of the NFL Draft. The last time Cincinnati made any sort of first-round move was in 2018, when the Buffalo Bills sent offensive tackle Cordy Glenn and the No. 21 pick for the Bengals’ No. 12 pick, along with a Day 3 pick swap.
From re-signing Dalton Risner to adding to a defense that needs help on all three levels, Cincinnati's front office has plenty of work to do. The good news is they have the resources to add a significant amount of talent. The Bengals are projected to have the eighth most cap space in the NFL according to Spotrac with $55 million.
However, as NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared on Twitter/x, the NFL has made a decision with Higgins, naming him to the Pro Bowl as a replacement for Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers. "Sources: Bengals WR Tee Higgins is being added to the Pro Bowl roster, replacing Ravens WR Zay Flowers," Schultz reported.
The Cincinnati Bengals have entered their offseason after a disappointing 6-11 season. The team has already made moves to ensure improvement for the 2026 season. They were also able to keep their coaching staff intact,
