A member of the City of San Angelo's Animal Services Division is being lauded as a hero after he swam roughly 60 yards in Lake Nasworthy to save an injured baby deer from drowning.

The deer squirms in his arms, bleating in protest, trying to escape. "I know, buddy," Webb said to the deer, as the bleating continued.
