Chanting "never again," hundreds of Iowans gathered on the steps of the Iowa Capitol Wednesday to denounce President Donald Trump's recent action to remove diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and protest his mass deportation plans.

The protests were a result of a movement that has organized online under the hashtags #buildtheresistance and #50501, which stands for 50 protests, 50 states, one day.
