Life-threatening flooding continued across the South and Ohio Valley Monday after days of rain and storms hit the regions. Rivers were cresting Monday at near-record levels and towns and cities were under mandatory evacuations.

Floodwaters washed across communities in Kentucky and Ohio on April 6 and 7 after the area was hit with several days of heavy rain.

We've seen a relentless surge of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and flooding rain for over a week now in the Midwest and South. Fortunately, a pattern change has now arrived.
