A lightning strike at an archery range in New Jersey killed a man and injured 13 others Wednesday evening, according to police.
Severe storms hammered parts of the tri-state area Monday afternoon into the late evening hours, flooding City subways, prompting dozens of water rescues and triggering a state of emergency in hard-hit parts of New Jersey.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service in Mount Holly for parts of north central Ocean County and central Monmouth County. The warning is in effect until 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Southeastern Middlesex County is also included in the weather bulletin.
With a hot and juicy atmosphere, torrential downpours and flash flooding are back in play for at least part of New Jersey late Wednesday.
Flash flood warnings were issued by the National Weather service Monday night as heavy storms rolled into the area. Flood warnings were issued for Morris, Warren, Bergen, Essex, Hunterdon, Hudson, Passaic, Middlesex, Somerset and Union Counties, according to the National Weather Service.
