SAN ANTONIO — Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is no longer eligible for regular season NBA awards. Morant, who did not Friday against the San Antonio Spurts due to right foot soreness, missed his 18th game of the season.

Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins gave an update on Morant's injury after they ruled him out of Friday's contest due to right foot soreness. "He's been nursing a foot sprain since the Houston home game," Jenkins said. "Last game against the Spurs, he got tangled up, had a little collision there with a Spurs player that really worsened it."

Grizzlies forward Jake LaRavia also deactivated his 'X' account on Tuesday. The Grizzlies (31-16) will be back in action on Thursday night against the Houston Rockets (8:30 p.m., TNT).
