During a recent online clash with Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, Elon Musk experienced an unexpected twist when his own AI chatbot, Grok, publicly sided with Altman. The confrontation began after Musk accused Apple of unfairly promoting OpenAI’s ChatGPT in the App Store.

The long and short of it: The fight between the tech bros will continue apace. Nothing has been decided in the case, but, as Reuters reported, U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ruled that Musk has to face harassment claims from OpenAI, which accuses the xAI chief of engaging in a years-long campaign to harm the AI company.

On Tuesday, Apple found itself the latest target of Elon Musk’s legal threats when the xAI CEO accused the tech giant of using unfair means to promote OpenAI’s ChatGPT over his company’s rival Grok chatbot in the App Store.
