The Arizona Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals meet up in Omaha on Sunday with their NCAA Men’s College World Series hopes on the line in the first elimination game of the tournament. Both teams had high hopes coming into the Men’s College World Series, but found themselves on the losing end of a couple of tough battles.
Coastal Carolina, Arizona, Oregon State, and Louisville are the four teams in Bracket 1. Coastal Carolina booked a spot in the Men’s College World Series with a sweep of Auburn in the Super Regionals, while Arizona defeated North Carolina in Game 3 of the Chapel Hill Super Regional to claim their spot.

Arizona starter Smith Bailey held that 3-1 lead until the seventh inning, when Louisville led off with a Garret Pike double and bunt single from Neighbors. Bailey was relieved by Garrett Hicks, who allowed a sacrifice fly by Lucas Moore.
