Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith will be behind the kit tonight (May 15) to back Paul McCartney for one of his Saturday Night Live performances, SPIN has learned.

Paul McCartney was the musical guest on May 16's Saturday Night Live, but ahead of the performance, the show finally gave fans a chance to relive one of his more iconic SNL appearances from the past.

He still finds a way to keep us surprised by what he does, however, and that includes doing three songs on the May 16 episode that saw Will Ferrell as the host.
